State Basket is committed to delivering your groceries, clothing, jewellery, gifts and specialty products safely and efficiently. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders are processed, delivered and shipped.
By placing an order with State Basket, you acknowledge and agree to this policy, subject to any rights provided to you under applicable law.
1. SHIPPING & DELIVERY AREAS
State Basket currently offers delivery and/or shipping to selected locations in Ontario and other areas where our delivery and shipping services are available.

2. LOCAL DELIVERY
Local delivery may be available within selected areas of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding communities.
Delivery availability, delivery days and delivery charges may vary based on the customer's postal code.
The applicable delivery fee, minimum order requirement and available delivery options will be displayed at checkout whenever possible.
3. SHIPPING & DELIVERY TIMES
Orders are normally processed after the order has been successfully placed and payment has been authorized.
Estimated delivery or shipping times are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.

4. ORDER PROCESSING
Orders may begin processing shortly after they are placed.
Once an order has entered processing, been picked, packed, prepared for delivery or dispatched, cancellation may not be possible.
Customers who wish to cancel or modify an order should contact State Basket as soon as possible.
Fresh, frozen, refrigerated and specially sourced products may be processed immediately and may not be cancellable after processing has started.

Applicable delivery or shipping fees will be displayed at checkout.

From time to time, State Basket may offer free shipping or free delivery promotions subject to specific conditions.
6. FREE SHIPPING ORDERS
Where a customer qualifies for free shipping or free delivery, the applicable promotion's terms will apply.
Free shipping does not necessarily mean that all products or delivery locations qualify.
Certain products, locations, oversized items or special delivery services may be excluded.
Where an approved return is permitted for an order that originally received free shipping, the customer may be responsible for returning the item to:

7. FRESH, FROZEN & REFRIGERATED PRODUCTS
State Basket sells products that may require refrigeration or freezing.
These products may be packaged using appropriate packaging based on the product and delivery method.
Customers are responsible for being available to receive deliveries containing fresh, frozen or refrigerated products.
Upon delivery, customers should:

Inspect the order promptly;

Verify that the products received correspond with the order;

Immediately refrigerate or freeze applicable products;

Follow the manufacturer's storage instructions; and

Contact State Basket promptly if there is an apparent delivery or packaging issue.
State Basket is not responsible for deterioration caused after successful delivery by improper storage, customer delay, exposure to heat, leaving products unattended or other circumstances outside State Basket's reasonable control.
8. CUSTOMER AVAILABILITY
Customers should ensure that someone is available to receive deliveries where required.
If the customer is unavailable, State Basket or its delivery partner may:

Attempt delivery again;

Leave the package in an appropriate location where permitted;

Contact the customer;
-
Return the order to State Basket; or
-
Take another reasonable action based on the circumstances.
For fresh, frozen or temperature-sensitive products, leaving an order unattended may not be possible or advisable.
Additional delivery charges may apply for unsuccessful delivery attempts where the issue is caused by the customer, subject to applicable law.
9. DELIVERY ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
This includes:

Building access instructions where applicable
State Basket is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
10. APARTMENT & CONDO DELIVERIES
Customers receiving deliveries at apartments, condominiums or other multi-unit buildings should provide appropriate access instructions.
Where building access is restricted, the customer may be required to meet the delivery driver at an accessible location.
State Basket and its delivery partners are not responsible for delays caused by building security, locked entrances, unavailable elevators, parking restrictions or inability to access the customer's unit.
11. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Delivery may be confirmed using methods such as:

Other delivery-provider records
A delivery may be considered completed when the delivery provider records the order as delivered to the address or location provided by the customer, subject to applicable law.
12. DAMAGED PACKAGES
Customers should inspect the outer package immediately upon delivery.
If the package appears damaged, customers should photograph the package before opening it, where reasonably possible.
If the product inside is damaged, the customer must contact State Basket within 6–12 hours of delivery.

State Basket may request additional photographs or video before approving a claim.
Customers should retain the damaged product and packaging until State Basket completes its investigation, unless the product presents a health or safety concern.
13. MISSING OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If an order contains a missing or incorrect item, please contact State Basket as soon as possible.
Customers may be asked to provide photographs of the items received and the packaging.
State Basket will compare the claim against the order, packing and delivery records.
If State Basket confirms that an error occurred, we may provide an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement, store credit or refund for the affected item, subject to applicable law.
14. LOST OR DELAYED SHIPMENTS
For orders shipped through a third-party carrier, State Basket may provide available tracking information.
Carrier delays may occur due to weather, transportation issues, operational disruptions, holidays or other circumstances.
Customers should contact State Basket if tracking information indicates that a shipment has been significantly delayed or appears lost.
State Basket may investigate the shipment with the applicable carrier.
15. INCORRECT ADDRESS & RETURNED PACKAGES
If an order is returned because the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping or delivery charges may apply.
For perishable, fresh or frozen products, State Basket may be unable to resend the product due to food-safety and product-quality considerations.
Any refund or replacement will be determined based on the circumstances and applicable law.
16. WEATHER & EXTREME CONDITIONS
Delivery may be delayed during severe weather or other conditions that could make transportation unsafe or affect product quality.

State Basket may delay or reschedule a delivery where reasonably necessary to protect customers, employees, delivery partners and products.

Delivery and shipping times may be longer during:

Customers are encouraged to place orders early during major holidays and promotional periods.
18. SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

Where international shipping is offered, the customer is responsible for complying with applicable import requirements, duties, taxes, customs requirements and restrictions.
State Basket is not responsible for products delayed, refused, seized or returned by customs authorities where the issue results from the destination country's laws or requirements.
20. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES
For shipments where customs duties, brokerage fees, import charges or other government fees apply, the customer may be responsible for such charges unless expressly stated otherwise.
Customers are responsible for understanding any applicable import restrictions before placing an international order.

Packaging may include cardboard boxes, insulated packaging, protective wrapping, bags, thermal packaging or other suitable materials.

22. COMBINED ORDERS
Where multiple products are purchased together, State Basket may ship or deliver the order:

In multiple shipments; or

Through different delivery methods.
This may occur because of product availability, product type, temperature requirements, warehouse location or operational considerations.
23. ORDER CHANGES

Changes are not guaranteed once an order has entered processing.
24. SHIPPING & DELIVERY CLAIMS
Customers should report shipping or delivery issues promptly.
For shipping damage, notification must be made within 6–12 hours of delivery to allow State Basket to investigate the condition of the package and product.
Claims may be denied where the customer fails to provide sufficient information or evidence to reasonably investigate the issue, subject to applicable law.
25. RETURN SHIPPING
State Basket does not accept unauthorized returns.
If State Basket authorizes a return, customers must follow the return instructions provided by State Basket.
For approved returns on orders that received free shipping, the customer may be responsible for sending the item back to:

Customers should use a trackable shipping service and retain proof of shipment.
26. DELIVERY PARTNERS
State Basket may use third-party delivery and shipping providers.
Delivery may therefore be subject to the provider's operating procedures and service limitations.
Once an order has been handed to a third-party carrier or delivery partner, State Basket may rely on the carrier's tracking and delivery records when investigating delivery claims.
27. NO GUARANTEE OF EXACT DELIVERY TIME
Unless State Basket expressly provides a guaranteed delivery service, delivery times are estimates only.
We cannot guarantee delivery at a specific hour or minute.
Customers should not make arrangements that depend upon delivery arriving at a particular time unless State Basket has expressly confirmed such an arrangement.
28. DELIVERY REFUSAL
Customers should not refuse delivery of an order simply because of a change of mind.
Food, fresh, frozen and refrigerated products are final sale and may not be resalable once dispatched.
Where a customer refuses delivery, State Basket may be unable to provide a refund, subject to applicable law.
29. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE RETURN & REFUND POLICY
This Shipping & Delivery Policy should be read together with the State Basket Return, Refund & Exchange Policy and Terms of Service.
In the event of a conflict, applicable law will prevail.
30. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
State Basket may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
